Twitter: Land of the MAGA and Blue Wave Cat Ladies

Into the rabbit hole and through the looking glass,

About a week ago I finally submerged myself into the murky waters they call twitter. It was not a great time, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Preferring to keep my mind open and have open and honest discussions about life, I was dumbfounded by the amount of “safe space” activism I encountered. If you care to look at the twitter populous, it doesn’t take long to figure out which teams are battling. It’s “Blue Wave cat lady” versus “Make America Great Again” mom coexisting on the same platform, and using the almighty power of the “block” feature in order to never face one another. Any viewpoints not shared with these groups will not be tolerated.

I found this out through a practice of posting some stories from our site into popular twitter feeds. Just messing around with the Twitter for a couple of days will give you a decent picture of the dual propaganda machine. Pro-Trump memes retweeted endlessly in the MAGAverse, and people with cat laden profiles doing the same on the opposite end. People that don’t agree or bring into account alternate viewpoints are dispatched immediately. Both sides incessantly refer to the stupidity of the opposition. Discourse on twitter is broken down to a fight on the elementary school playground.

My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad

I’ve never been a big fan of name-calling. Insulting a person is not an effective way to change someone’s viewpoint. In name-calling situations, ego’s are prioritized above rationalization. Basically, our 2016 Presidential election was reduced to a name-calling contest. Deplorable versus Libtard fighting to the death. Is it really that hard to imagine that Trump won such a fiasco? He played the media for suckers. Now he is suffering their wrath, which isn’t too scary.

The real issues are meaningless right now. Real issues are complicated and require multiple levels of understanding that are not conducive to a culture where a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke are defined by a single number. Cheeseburger, fries, and a coke? Don’t you mean a number one? Meanwhile, laws are written and money is pocketed in what appears to be one of the most successful confidence scams in history. As a nation,  we need an audit, on both personal and civic levels. Meanwhile, it’s business as usual. Click an ad. For MAGA mom and Blue Wave Cat Lady: I’ll see you on the battlefield.
